What should I do if my trash cart was lost or damaged in the flood?

If your trash or recycling cart was lost, displaced, or damaged during the recent flooding event, please email utilities@cityofburnet.com to report the issue. We will coordinate with the service provider to replace your cart as soon as possible.

Please include your service address and a brief description of the issue in your message.

How can I report damage to my home or business?
Residents and business owners who experienced flood damage should report it using the State of Texas Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT) at: https://damage.tdem.texas.gov
 
This information helps Burnet County Emergency Management document the extent of local damage and pursue state and federal recovery assistance.

What streets were impacted?
Boundary Street suffered significant flood damage and will be temporarily repaired as soon as possible. Please continue to use extreme caution and do not attempt to cross low-water crossings. 
 
As of 11:30 a.m. on 7/7/2025 the following streets are temporarily closed due to flooding:
• W. Jackson over Hamilton
• Main at Water Plant
• Blackburn 
• Pierce and Tate
• Vandeveer and Tate
• PR 4 and 281
• PR 4 and Hoover Valley
• 963 West of 1174
